Our Parish

 St Joseph Newport and Spotswood

St Margaret Mary’s Primary is partnered with the Sacred Heart Primary in Newport. Together we combine to make the Parish of St Joseph Newport and Spotswood. Our Parish is led by our fantastic Parish Priest, Fr Binh Le. 

Class and whole school masses are celebrated on a Thursday at 9:15am. The students plan and run the masses and are highly involved in the ritual of the mass from Prep to grade 6.  

Our annual ‘Combined School’s Day’ encourages bonds between the two schools and aims to enhance the Catholic Mission of our parish and the Church.

Our Sacramental formation evenings offer families the opportunity to share in a common faith formation, supporting their preparation for Catholic Sacraments.

Parish Pastoral Council 

In the spirit of mutual listening and co-responsibility, the Parish Pastoral Council exists to offer guidance and advice to the Parish Priest - Fr. Binh Le. The Parish Pastoral Council takes its inspiration from the person of Jesus Christ. In response to their Baptismal call, Council members commit to service of the community reflecting the love, generosity and justice of the Gospels.
